Sports at ISA
Sports play a key role in the curriculum at ISA – helping students to develop their athletic ability, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and providing important opportunities for teamwork.
Through a structured, two-season sports schedule, students participate in regular practices, friendly games, and tournaments with other schools.
ISA’s on-campus facilities include multipurpose courts for basketball, soccer and volleyball as well as a separate playground for the needs of lower school students. In addition, we make use of nearby sports facilities belonging to the municipality of Kifissia such as an indoor gym, full-sized football (soccer) field and track and field grounds.
The goal of all organised sports is to encourage children to have fun, participate in team activities and have the opportunity to develop their confidence, self-discipline, teamwork and leadership skills.
Students benefit from improved fitness, confidence, discipline, and meaningful team experiences both on and off the field. Throughout the year, athletes can take part in local leagues, school-hosted tournaments, special events such as Water Sports Weekend, Middle School Sports Festival, beach volleyball tournament and international senior varsity tournaments in Europe for our volleyball, soccer and basketball teams.
We encourage every student to get involved, challenge themselves, and enjoy the excitement of school athletics.
