School spirit

Lorem Ipsum Dolor

From community service to much-loved annual events, our students and families love to get involved with school spirit events.

Community service

The IB curriculum places great importance on developing well-rounded individuals who are active, compassionate and lifelong learners. Both Service as Action (SaA) in the Middle Years Programme and Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) in the Diploma Programme are essential elements of this philosophy. These programs go beyond academics, encouraging students to take the initiative, work collaboratively and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Through creative projects, physical activities, and service experiences, students learn to balance personal growth with social responsibility, empowering students to become principled, caring, and globally minded citizens.

Student councils

Student councils are an important feature of life at ISA – and those that serve learn that  being part of our school council is both an honour and a responsibility. ISA has two student councils – one for primary school and one for upper school. From Grades 4 onwards students in each grade elect two representatives to represent them and act as a conduit of student opinion.

Our student councils meet regularly with the Head of School and class teachers to discuss school matters and help organize community events. These include activities such as carnival day, Halloween, Jeans for Genes day, movie nights, the end-of-year talent show, and fundraising for local, national, and international causes.

Celebrations and traditions

Our school community

Bonding trips

At the beginning of each academic year, bonding trips are organised for students in both lower and upper school, encouraging new friendships between  students in non-academic, non-stressful surroundings.

International Day

A highlight of the school year, organized by the Parents’ Association, is our International Day, which celebrates our community’s multicultural identity. This event brings together  students, parents, and staff in a vibrant showcase of the many cultures represented within our school. With booths, cultural displays, traditional costumes, and food from around the world, International Day offers a wonderful  opportunity for everyone to connect, learn, and embrace our shared diversity. This celebration not only deepens cultural appreciation but also strengthens the bonds within our school community.

Annual talent show

The ISA annual talent show takes place at the end of the academic year for the lower and upper school, organized by the student council. Students become risk takers and present their "talents" to their peers and teachers. It is a day full of fun and creativity.

Model United Nations

ISA has a strong Model United Nations (MUN) programme, an experiential learning experience that helps students explore international relations and global issues by simulating the work of the United Nations.

By taking on the roles of country delegates, students engage in informed discussion, negotiation, and problem-solving, while developing essential skills such as public speaking, research, critical thinking, collaboration and leadership.

Our school proudly participates in three MUN conferences each year, bringing students together with peers from a variety of backgrounds. We are also delighted to offer our MUN Club, open to students in Grades 7–12, providing a dedicated space to prepare for conferences, strengthen their skills, and engage meaningfully with world issues throughout the year.
